Mindfulness is the very best short-cut that we know of here. Jim is fortunate to have worked at the UMASS Stress Reduction Clinic and was witness to some amazing transformation. There is a lot of great research on this simple but power daily practice. As it turns out, focusing on breathing in a quiet place and just watching the mind move here and there while staying, or at least returning to being present and still, helps reduce out stress level. partly, that means we reduce our cortisol levels and that right there is a big factor in improving our health and wellbeing and longevity
